That TIS Procedure shows it located to the LEFT or Driver's side of the rear of the transmission (note the drive shaft ;-)

Please let us know if that Procedure is NOT correct for your vehicle. All of the US 6-cyl cars have NO external, inline, fuel filter AFAIK.
