In theory not in practice.
Just wasted a LOOOOT of time on a cheap wheel wild goose chase.... ended up with 640i 18"s w/offset 30 and called it close enough, after LOADS of 328i takeoffs turned out to be utterly unsuitable
Measure those things across, and dont forget to CENTER the measurements on the middle of the hub... you need over 16 inches inside diameter, and most BMW 17's do NOT provide that... a lot of the basic designs have 15-15.5" space inside
As to 18s and 19s pretty much all clear, and 20s pretty much all dont fit for other reasons
