On my 4x4, I had to get the rear LSD removed because it became such a bear to drive on the snow/ice. With open diff, you have one wheel acting as a rudder if the other spins. With LSD, you are going round 'n round.

Granted my 4x4 does not have DSC. Even with DSC, if the LSD causes you to start rotating on ice, the momentum may be such that DSC can't help you. DSC does not negate physics.
