I'd likely want it to funnel through my water softener (to reduce hardness and it can be refreshed if needed) to lower the TDS rating before it hits the deionizer. It's around $150-ish (?) for new resin depending on the size and type of setup IIRC.
I was ignorant to this fact before but apparently water softeners can actually increase the TDS. When I checked mine it's actually about 50 higher than my hard water. I could probably realistically wash the car with just the soft water and be fine. The dionizer is only for the final rinse which really doesn't take that much water so I'm assuming I'm going to be able to go a long time before I have to pay for new resin. Hopefully.

Also I don't think you need epoxy. I would think regular garage floor would be fine. You could also do one of the swiss trax variants.
