They're not too bad, and feel a bit more airy than the Boxster (roof up obviously). However if you want a relaxed, quiet drive, its the wrong car - the howl (whilst wonderful IMO) has drawn plenty of negative comments from my passengers.
The Cayman does feel more rigid than the Boxster, but not enough to make a decision of one over the other IMO - I didn't particularly want a soft top and my Cayman came along at a great price & spec so I went for it - I would have happily had a Boxster instead if a nice one had come along.
