It most likely will not work for two reasons:
There is a strong chance the M3 will have a unique subframe and the unit will be physically larger (like the E46 m3).
The gear ratio that it will come with will be very incompatible for most E90s (read the 335) I would expect the M3 to have at least a 3.63 rear end; it is going to be suited to a high RPM/low torque NA motor, not a low RPM/high torque application (like the 335)
