geez, LOL, twin- and bi- mean the same - two turbos, regardless of their setup. Same synonyms like TDI, TD, TiD etc. - all mean turbo diesels.
If U wanna show the difference, say e.g. parralel vs. serial turbos, there's the difference. Parralel - 2 identical concurrent turbos (335i), serial - 1 small and 1 big turbo (335d), taking over each other in various engine operating modes and rpm's.
