Just a quick update. Since my car is for sale, I wanted to make sure its in the best condition possible. I had a pre-purchase inspection from the only indie shop that I trust with my M3.

The only thing they suggested was the Belt Tensioner/Pulley. I did a quick forum search and sure enough its an extremely common failure and my car was more than due to have it fail too. So I decided to save the next owner some headache and just go ahead and replace it.

One of many threads about the tensioner failures.

These guys are legit if you're ever in the Vegas area and need some work on your bmw and too busy/lazy like I am right now lol.

The bolt on the right is what fails but just wanted to do the entire thing since I was already at it.
