I won't disagree with you that BMW events are the best for beginners. NASA is good for stretching your legs after learning the basics.

That said, NASA is dependent on who you get as an instructor. Those of us reared in the BMW school ways end up passing along that same level/detail of knowledge. If you get a cowboy instructor (gee, so your first time on track? You will love those Rcomps you're running!), you probably won't learn much.

Bottom line - if you do NASA, search out us BMW guys. There are at least 5 of us who instruct with them. Or start out with BMW club...the instruction/car control clinic / classtime are impeccable.
