I went supersonic many times but it was only on FCFs (functional check flight). These were periodic flights required for each aircraft. Had to check to make sure that the F-4 would reach it's Mach 2.2 top speed or document the max speed that it would reach. Of course there were other things at supersonic flight that were checked, like intake ramps functioning, etc., but those were the only times.
