I have 173K miles on my car, this issue came up in the fall.

You can check on this issue by moving the power steering fluid reservoir out-of-the-way. That’s just two 10 mm nuts. Feel around for a flat spot worn by that metal connector on the AC hose.

If you end up needing to remove the section I would recommend removing the air filter box (on N52).

Was just able to remove the lower connector by the firewall from the power steering reservoir spot but it was a very tight space for my arm. I had to reattach it underneath which probably gives a lot more access for removal anyway.

Tools needed are 8mm and 10mm sockets/wrenches and the torx screw for the intake, T25 if I recall correctly
Thanks, yes it is easy to do, just move the PS reservoir. I put the insulation on the AC line instead but I might move it.

The corrugated line is a vacuum line? It looks like wiring loom?
