High compression add about zero in power. The biggest upgrade will be going to manual from automatic - and looking into a dyno tune with something like E85.

I guess your mindset is anything under 10hp is nothing, but typically raising the compression from say 10:1 to 11:1 would result in a ~10hp bump once the timing and fuel is optimized for it. Is it worth it on anything besides a race car? I would say no.
