I think this is ghastly, but then I think long nails in general are simply not attractive. There are rare cases where they may look elegant, but it just doesn't justify the vast majority of the time when they simply don't.
Paint them up in whatever color you want, but please trim them every week or two (depending on how fast yours grow).
