18 of the above mentioned 30 years of driving were in Chicago. Needless to say, parallel parking was pretty much an every day/everywhere occurrence. Still, never curbed a wheel. I don't have anything against the "tire protectors", the point I was trying to make was that they do very little, and there are much more important things to look for when shopping tires.
