Thanks for the reply. I popped that hose last summer as it was 10 year old rubber hooked to a hot exhaust. When broken, it was pretty obvious I had a decent exhaust leak as it was loud.

If this happens to anyone else there is an simple temp fix. Just use a pair of pliers to crimp the metal part of the hose assembly closed. It is easy to do this even when the engine is hot. I drove around for a week that way.
