Can you please share what you did to make the car recognize the key? I tried several methods I found online and none worked for me. Mine is '07 E93 with CA. Thanks.

Try inserting an original key into the key slot and turn car on then off. Then take out original key and insert new key and hold new key in the slot for 20 seconds. Then press start button.
