It's fair to say work started quickly.
Something really apparent was that the car just needed a good clean in the nooks and crannies. The door frames, bonnet gullies, and the tailgate and tailgate window frames were caked in muck, so they got a good seeing to after a quick (for me!) wash.
Also noticeable were the hazy headlight lenses. There were no severe scratches or chips, but just a general pattering of chips across the face of them. After a great result on my old E61 535d I picked up another 3M Headlight Restoration Kit and set to work. Some pics...
It's clear (pun almost intended) that the kit worked magic once more. For less than £20 and an hour's work, I'm pleased with how they came up.
