Specifically the Corvette C6, Cobalt SS, Cobalt SS Supercharged and Impala SS will be utilized on RIU Skills Courses where drivers learn more about car control, vehicle dynamics and racing lines. And once practice is over, it's time to show your stuff in a Cobalt SS for two laps on the RIU Competition Course. The RIU program also has a new twist this year – Hot Laps in the Corvette C6 where guests ride "shotgun" with a pro driver and learn how to attack an autocross course. The very popular racing kart track will also be back as part of 2006 events, as well as a course where people can get a feel for the entire Chevrolet SS car line.
There are a limited number of competition slots available during each RIU weekend, so pre-registration is very highly suggested. The cost is only $50.00, or $45.00 if you sign up online in advance at www.RevItUpRacing.com. Competitors must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
