@SilverII: Thanks! Yeah, I thought about hardwiring the radar detector. Though, I use it in another vehicle, too, so might leave it as is just out of convenience!
@CJ421: Thanks man! You're right, I wonder if perhaps it is defective. I had an iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS and neither worked with it. I figured it was something that I was doing wrong, but it might just be the device itself needs to be looked at or returned. Bought it off eBay, probably my mistake right there (though I did buy it off a BMW dealership).
No mods planned, either. I'm a stock guy all the way. I do appreciate a good mod, but I have limited time and even more limited know how!
