You should NOT hear any ticking under the hood if you have had this replaced. Mine initially ONLY ticked if you popped the hood and after replacement there is no ticking. You got a bum job.
The 09's do have the new cylinder head already in place. You can confirm on realoem.com that they come with the updated cylinder head so these do not have the problem.
Mine is problem free after a month and running stronger than the day I brought it home from the dealer
