Yeah, that’s bc the OE stuff is incredibly good at almost everything with the exception of track days. Buying almost anything else will result in a compromise of some sort.
I’d recommend rotors from Rockauto (centric premium) and OE BMW 2009-2012 pads. These rotors will resist rusting better (looks) and the pads will dust less and have better feel than the earlier BMW units.
You can also do all of this for like $350 in parts.
