Is it possible the factory fill coolant was replaced with an incorrect type to create this gasket issue?
BMW screwed up this gasket design .The gasket body should be round "O" ring type not taper, . so as the groove like "U" shape .All the hydraulic valve using round body type gasket regard less of the shape . With the proper body diameter the gasket sealing well . The rubber is not compressable .Also the material should be Viton .
