this sounds really ghetto, but there is an easy way to get about 1/2" more headroom. Just reach under the seat from the back, you'll feel 3 long springs. They fit into mounts at the back of the seat. If you pull them back and up, you can pop 2 of them out (the 2 outer) and it will let the seat drop a bit lower, about 1/2". I used to do this with my e46 M3, and it will work with the 335i. Takes maybe 5 minutes once you get how the springs mount.
It will stretch the leather a bit, but not too much, since you really only go about 1/2" lower and if you only do it at the track, it'll never be noticeable.
