The interesting thing is that (for the IPod) the audio apparently goes through the Aux jack and the USB just controls the iPod playback.

I seriously hope the audio doesn't go through the AUX. If it does, I'd rather get the dealer installed ipod interface since the audio is transferred through the digital port.
