All you need to do is run a wire down to the fuse box and use an add a fuse on an ignition on only fuse.
That aspect is that only thing differs from one vehicle to the next as vehicle options will change which fuses work.
For my car the home link fuse was one that only turned on when the car was on and turned off when the vehicle was off.
Then ground to the nearest chassis point.
