I have a 8/4 Rotora BBK on my E60 M5 and an 8/4 Brembo BBK on my E39 M5. I know its not exactly comparing apples to apples, but from my own user's experience, Rotora is a much better performing BBK than Brembo, its cheaper too, so there is tremendous value for your money. I've also compared the weights of Rotora's rotors (hats & rings w/ hardware) v/s Brembo's and Rotora's are lighter.
I know Brembo is the bigger name brand and used by all pro racing teams, yadda yadda yadda. But if you are not racing/tracking the car, there is no point in spending top dollar for a Brembo BBK. Rotora is plenty good.
Just to prove a point, I have a 6/4 Brembo BBK w/ 405mm front rotors for E60 M5 fitment sitting in my garage to sell. They were ok, I still prefer to keep my 8/4 Rotora 380mm BBK, its a much better performing BBK.
Lastly, I track my E60 M5 and regularly do canyon runs.
