Just to add my 2c... took my CPO 2007 E93 to the dealer with exhaust rattle last summer and they ended up replacing the turbos without any prompting from me.
I still get rattle when I start the car, but I don't think it happens during revs/driving anymore, I haven't noticed anyway. Will double check today.
