You can just set the reservoir back on the studs for the mount loosely. It will hang at an angle but be fine.
I can reiterate, go ahead and buy the two bottles. It took about 1.8 bottles for me to get to translucent green.
You can find clear tubing at Home Depot/Lowes/Ace. I got mine at HD. Since its just being used for this it doesnt need to be fuel rated or anything. I think I found it in the plumbing supplies.
