I give it to one of my relative to bring it to China for plasma cutting, it's more convenient to me but there's no need to take it this far. Any machine shop with regular equipment can do it, it's just a parking brake there's no need to ask for micrometer tolerance. I did not do it here because I visited UofT campus machine shop and they said because it's parking brake shoe they can't modify it since they don't want to be held liable for any "possible danger".
You should try is some independent / small service provider... I'm not sure if the big ones are willing to do this for the stupid reason mentioned above.
