Having owned an IS since 2016 and rolling over 70k miles with the DCT along with getting to know many other IS members, none have complained about the transmission ever failing, even big single turbo guys. Only issues ever to be reported is slippage at higher power ratings which most people end up upgrading the clutch packs as I've mentioned earlier. In fact, there's a member on here who did hundreds of 5k rpm launches with the stock launch control built in and the transmission never failed but he did snap the driveshaft under warranty lol. It's a solid Getrag unit.
