Yes, they are very easy to update. All you need to do is to go to
http://www.blackvue.com/en/main/main.asp and download the latest version
BMW E9x video is coming up soon. (Around June 4th)
The point of using the power kit is to save the car battery. If the battery falls below 11.8V the power kit will turn itself off.
