Mine wasn't as bad but the rpms surged when slowing down in stop and go traffic; usually when keeping under 20 and it also surged with the A/C on.
An update of the DME usually will fix it. I had my DME upgraded to get the PPK1 and it eliminated the stop and go idle surge and the a/c idle surge.
