Great thread!! It was very helpful for me. My '07 335I, which my mom drives, was blowing hot air the other day. Bought a kit called AC Pro, with the gauge. The gauge read 0. Tried pumping 134A in, but it blew straight out of somewhere in the engine bay. Went to midas, and got a blown AC condenser diagnosis. Brand new oem costs $630! Behr makes one new, for $250, but couldn't confirm fitment, so I went with a low mileage oem off ebay. Installed today, and pumped in the gas using the instructions on this page. Voila! ICE cold AC!! Thanks to OP, and good luck to all who try this very easy DIY.
