What do you consider bad? Michigan has some of the worst roads in the country, if not the worst. Even Ohio has better roads than we do.
I bent 7 wheels on my e90 driving around the Ann Arbor/Detroit area in the last 5 years on 17s. Given they were RFTs - bending got a lot less when I switched to non RFT.
They have fixed a bunch of roads in the last year or so, but its still not great.
Here is a road in downtown Ann Arbor from last spring. Its probably one of the worst examples and they have since fixed it, but still it gives you an idea of how bad they let things get before they work on them.
