For me no. There are a few reasons.
1. overpriced old technology from the day you get it
2. Don't really like the looks of the pop up display
3. iDrive is a bit of a PIA
The only real advantage would be iPod controls and Phone controls. But this is not worth 2K to me.
Aftermarket TOMTOM/Garmen/etc. is much better is all you really want is GPS.
