My E90 had to have the taillights changed to meet British laws. The turn signals are amber. When I bring it back to the states next year, I am not changing back. Nor am I changing the light switch but that's another thread.
So, I purchased my e90 May 2005 in Phoenix, AZ and I have Euro tail lights (amber cover over the blinker, just like in the above picture). I guess someone messed it up...
