coupe of things. bumpers and paint hate each other. they stick but not as well as on metal. so thats why your paint peeled. i powerwash at car wash all the time. but not sure on psi of those nozzles.
regards to touchup. well its very difficult to get silver metallic to sit correct even spraying it. non the less brushing it. just remember to do lite coats. this will prevent running down the bumper.
