Yes so what happens with new engines is alot more metal in the oil as everything settles. You want that metal flushed not to circulate.
Now you dont have to do that but i buy synthetic oil for 35 dollars canadian here for Castrol 0w-40.. Ill spend 100 bucks on oil on a a new engine to ensure everything is ok. Thats just me tho
