Sounds like you are at the point I have been many times where I'd nearly given up. I know how you feel.
I would keep trying though. You have to be missing something start from scratch.
Wire only power, ground and connect most. Change VO. Switch off car, lock it up and walk away 15 mins. Jump in, read VO and see if it's changed. Then try and read the cmedia or media module...
you'll know if the most loop isn't terminated when your cic says no audio available( at least that's what mine did)
