It means bulb outtage. Use BC to go to check control. It may give you the code for which bulb is out. You may need to do this if you check all the bulbs and cannot fault them because... the second set of brake lights that come on under hard braking cannot be tested with your foot on the brake. So if it was those.. you would not know without the code. Sometimes even if the bulbs appear fine all around... they may be intermittently faulty or about to fail. Always worth checking them and seeing which ones are black if any.
