Talking of software, I did notice something odd. I don't know if it did this before but...
I'm in traffic crawling along. So clutch is down while I'm stood and then up again and a little gas as I move forward. As the traffic stops again my foot goes down on the clutch again and off the gas. But looking at the economy gauge it continues to hover around the 50mpg mark, drops down to 30mpg, hangs there for a few seconds and then goes to the 'infinity' end of the gauge. All this while my clutch is fully down and no gas. Odd.
Anyhoo, I can report that whatever they've done it's perfect. The clutch feels much more responsive (almost like they've removed the CDV
), the grinding has gone already and there is certainly no judder whatsoever. I'm finally driving without having to work around most gear changes and as I said to my dealer when they rang, I can be as lazy as I like.
Hopefully things will stay this way.
