I paid £53 for a kit and its been perfect. 0 degree VANOS adaption values when fitted correctly.
One thing I always do on all bmw's is set the adjustment up with the chain tensioner fully tightened in rather than using the pre-load setting tool that all of the kits seem to include.
File a flat on the end of the flywheel locking pin to help scour muck out of the hole in the block. Once spent a full hour getting the pin into an N43 engine.
