I have an 03/2006 build date. I can confirm no reset is needed, I drove the car 8 miles without it and didn't have any problems. BUT I did do the reset for two reasons, the fault code saying transfer case fluid will not clear without it & the calibration makes motors move and it resets it to the new fluid which I assume is better for the transfer case in the long run.
