I called route 66 about a lemon title and they said I could not buy the warranty.
Unfortunately I did not ask the owner if the physical title was branded so it is not like your situation.
Interested to see what route 66 says if you do call them.
I would think they can lookup the vin to check the title and see if it has been washed at some point.
Also getting a loan on a branded title seemed like a pain too.
Penfed wants proof the car was repaired and BMW USA wouldn't give the lemon paperwork.
Gave up on branded titles after all that.
