I'm not that familiar with the N55, beyond what can be read on here; but, I did just pick one up in the form of a 435i.
I picked up some parts from
TheLeusOne over the the summer and his F30 made me question my commitment to the E9x body style. Lol.
Plenty of experience with the N54 & N52, though.
I'm in Simpsonville, too (West Georgia Rd.); if you're going to do any DIYs any time soon, lmk.
