I've found a possible solution on another forum, but not sure if it applies to our e9x models so I'm trying to find out, I think this is for a 1 series:

Code:
And yes, it works. I changed mine using Tool32. The PRG file for our cars is MSS60.PRG. Scroll down to CBS_RESET in the Jobs box.

In the arguments box enter oel;XX;30 where XX corresponds to the following:

45 for 12,000 KM or 8,000 MI
40 for 11,000 KM or 7,000 MI
35 for 10,000 KM or 6,000 MI
30 for 7,000 KM or 4,000 MI

Then Run Job, a right facing arrow with a 1x next to it in the toolbar up top.
I'm going to research this more, if I can find out it definately works I'll change both cars to 7000 mile intervals
I do not see why this would not work for the E90. Keep in mind your DME version will be different.
