Does anyone know more about the technical directives that were introduced at Imola? A lot of chatter about these impacting Mclaren on the skid block materials, but also on brake/tire cooling - essentially their advantage might have been nullified by these.

Going to save this as well as your predictions are usually wishful thinking.
His 'P4' was nothing but circumstances. He finished nearly 34 seconds behind Max who wasnt even pushing it. That is not legendary, that's pathetic especially considering his car was nearly as fast as the Mclaren's and in some cases faster but I would assume you didnt look at the data. It's not bad when you consider he is the #2 driver and Lec has been schooling him in driving so far this year.
Stop making up false info about his car's speed because they've had the fastest car multiple weekends this year yet nothing to show for it - no podiums yet Lec has one.

Funny how you think he's great but then end you post with how ecstatic you'll be if he gets into the top 5 LOL and if he can score a podium which has had not even been remotely close to in a GP (again in one of the fastest cars on the grid) LOL. That's exactly what someone would say for a midfield driver.

Old man Hamilton can't qualify anymore.

Leclerc vs Lewis (Qualis): 7-2
Ham was on a hard tire while Lec was on a Medium - you can make all the complaints and excuses you want. Ham went from being 4tenths to less than 2 tenths in a car he doesn't know vs one of the best qualifiers on the grid. He's now 8 points behind Charles.

Anyhow - I stand on my statements, Hamilton will stand on his results.

Ahh again only giving half the story. Lec had done 30 laps on the hard tire and they had literally no grip, yet Ham struggled on the fresh hard tire to get past. What does qualifying have to do with the race? 2 tenths at Imola is a lifetim. Let’s also not forget Ferrari changed their car design to suit Ham, not Lec because Ham can’t drive if the car isn’t super fast because he himself isn’t fast. Lec is driving a car not suited to his liking yet best Ham with ease. and they did everything they could so ham wouldn’t struggle. Lec is faster in race pace all things equal. 8 points for Hamilton is like 3 races worth of points.

The car was already in development before HAM got there LOL, most of his testing was in a sim and on the SF-23/24. Lec likes the car, but it's limited by it's ride high - a complaint both him and HAM have.

You're so upset that HAM does well, and you must believe that it's all luck that he won 8 times WDC. However Max racing the weakest talent in equal cars = BEST EVER!

Ham beat Lec - cope.

Ham is doing well? Where is he in the WDC? For a guy who has one of the fastest cars in F1 you sure wouldn’t know it. He’s been sniffing rookie’s dust almost all season. Lec has smacked him around like a little bitch. He’s never won 8 WDCs either so once again wrong. He never raced against anyone good until this current generation came in and once they got decent car they made and currently make him look slow. You’re just upset that Max is a far more talented driver while everyone continues to see Ham for the fraud he is. Nothing without the FIA and his rocket ship car that had no peers until Max beat him in a slower one.
And you’re wrong because Ferrari changed the front suspension to cater to the fact that Ham can’t drive a car well on the nose and needs a lot of weight transfer and they made sure the rear was stable because he can’t deal with an oversteery car. Lec hates the car yet he’s beaten Ham 80% of the time so far. Ham also got more testing time than Lec to get him up to speed and he spent more time getting acclimated to the car. Again, all advantages he got that were for nothing since he can’t even beat the 18 year old who took his seat and is doing more with the same car than he ever could.

Ham is the best, and the fact that you're still sweating him while he's almost 40 years old and "past his prime" is testament to the fact that he's the greatest ever.

I can see we both look forward to him winning 9 WDCs.

I can tell you’re angry but to be expected when you realize your hero is a talentless clown who is getting clowned by his teammate.

You must be really, really bad at math too.

LOL - again, want to make a bet on him winning an 8th WDC? Put up or shut up. But much like ham you’ll shut up because you can’t back it up.

You’re desperate and you like to come in here making bold claims but won’t back them up with a bet. He will not win another WDC since he doesn’t have the FIA’s pockets getting lined and no rocket ship car. The rest proves he was never very good and is a midfield driver at best. He can’t race otherwise and that scared you to know his “talent” was never there. Same reason he could never go to the Ring like Max and set a record lap in a car and track he doesn’t even know. Keep trying though LMFAO

Italian tifosi at Imola (Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari) paying their respects to Max Verstappen during the podium ceremony. A rare sight. Only happens with the finest F1 drivers.

i don't know, Oscar was waving Max by. i think he focussed too much on George and got caught off guard, rookie error.

how i see it was Oscar thought he had the pace to follow and pass Max later (ie that's why he didn't try to push Max off), and then was surprised that his tires were degrading very quickly, and the entire mclaren garage panicked and went into Ferrari mode like they did last year.

This could be telling with maybe McLaren being told to back off some with the tyres cooling trick, skid blocks etc mentioned by HeelToeShift earlier and not wait until the last second for Barcelona.
