CIC upgrade, not sure of firmware

Someone locally is parting out a 2010 e92 with CIC. Is it possible that this could have C1A? New to this whole thing and haven't learned coding yet so I'm open to any suggestions on what to look out for when sourcing a headunit/display

The only way to tell is to read the module with NCS Expert. With that said, 90% of the CIC I pull from the junkyard have C1A. You only need C1A if you are going to activate BMW Nav. If you just want the screen for CarPlay, you don't need C1A.
