switching off dtc.
hey guys.
new to this car and still waiting for the owners manual to arrive! just a couple of questions so far. is there a way to completely switch off the traction control for more fun and games? it seems whether i press the dtc button or not,it kicks in and interferes with my foolishness! also,is there any visible way to find out if my car has had a reflash? i bought it used and the tech at the BMW dealership said it felt faster than stock.i looked around for a turbo tuner but couldn't find anything.i bought it from a toyota dealership and obviously they know nothing about the car. thanks in advance, pip. |

Press the Dtc button once for less interference and increased traction. If you press and hold the Dtc button a second time it will completely disable all control and you're on your own...Definitely not recommended unless you really know what you're doing. But yea- you can read about it more in the manual when you get it-

Press and hold for a few seconds to disengage DTC and DSC. Hopefully we will not read about whether your car is totalled or not.
