E90 Lci final decision wheel fitment
So I know I\'ve posted threads already and I appreciate Lawrence at BavX for his help. And **********s for their help online . Just wanted to clarify
I am pretty much ready to pull the trigger on . E90 lci lowered on h&r sports. Assuming I ONLY shave the inner lining of the rear fenders. Would 19x8.5 Et 35 front and 19x9.5 Et 33 work? With tires v12 235/35 front and 265/30 rear? OR if in the rears if I went 19x10 Et 38 which would be more aggressive in the rear? And would it look a bit off for the front and rear set up like that? Thanks |

I have a lowered e90 LCI running the same specs except my rear wheels are ET35 fronts are ET35 w/5mm spacer so in effect ET30. ET33 may rub in the rear w/a 265/30 tire depending on the tire make. I am running Conti DWS (not a fat tire) and I know if I pushed my wheels out another 2mm they would hit the fender liner and maybe the fender itself going over dips/bumps. There just isn't much in the way of clearance with an ET35. Maybe if you ran a 255/35 tire you could get away with it.
Remember the LCI has a wider rear track so even though ET33 will work on a pre LCI the wider track of the LCI makes it a difficult offset to run on an LCI without modification. There have been more than a few reports/posts on here of LCI owners running ET33 and rubbing under certain conditions. Here's a pic of my car. Last edited by cssnms; 01-05-2012 at 12:40 PM.. |

Fitting the more aggressive offsets in the rear are definitely possible with a little bit of work. Here's an E90 LCI with the E90 pre-LCI fitment.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=387786 Same tires you were considering as well.

NO re-read what I wrote,,, I have et35 rear and effectively et30 front. I am not rolled and I DO NOT RUB. My set-up works without issue. I would suggest you get et35 all around and depending on your tire you might be able to add 5mm spacers up front if you want to try a more aggressive off-set like I did.

Oy vey,,,, let's try this again in a more direct fashion,,, if you run a 19x9.5 et 35 with a 265/30 tire you DO NOT have to do anything to your fenders or liner. Comprende?

19 x 9.5" ET35 wheel w/a more rounded 265/30 tire like Conti DW's will definitely be okay in the rear, no rubbing even with people in the back seat going over dips, I NEVER had a problem, there's enough clearance. My alignment is pretty square too. ET33 you will more than likely have problems esp if you are lowered. I am lowered on EPK springs and BMW Performance Shocks. |

I am going to try and add 3mm spacers to my rear wheels which will make the et 32 to see if they rub. Visually it looks like I have enough neg camber and a skinny enough tire that I think it will work, it will be close, but I think I can squeeze it without having to roll my fenders. The only thing I would say, try to keep your spacers as small as possible, because I believe anything over 10mm puts a lot of added stress on your wheel bearings. |
